Overview

The Google Pixel 7A brought Google’s flagship camera processing into the mid-range, and it remains one of the most capable cameras you can buy second hand.

Camera

A 64MP main sensor with optical image stabilisation leads, supported by a 13MP ultrawide covering 120 degrees. Google’s computational photography is what separates a refurbished Pixel 7A from rivals on paper, turning a mid-range sensor into results that hold up against far more expensive phones. Video records at 4K, at either 30 or 60fps.

Display and performance

The 6.1 inch 90Hz OLED runs at 1080 x 2400, driven by Google’s Tensor G2 chip with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Gorilla Glass 3 protects the front and back, set in a plastic frame that keeps the weight to 193.5g.

Everyday use

The 4385mAh battery charges at 18W over USB-C or 7.5W wirelessly on any Qi pad. IP67 water resistance, Wi-Fi 6E, an under-display fingerprint reader and 5G are all included. It launched on Android 13.
