Overview

The Apple iPhone 15 Pro was the first iPhone built with a titanium frame, cutting the weight to 187g while introducing Apple’s 3nm A17 Pro chip.

Titanium build

Swapping stainless steel for titanium made the Pro noticeably lighter without losing strength, and the textured matte glass back resists fingerprints far better than the gloss it replaced. A refurbished iPhone 15 Pro is 19g lighter than the iPhone 14 Pro before it.

Performance

The A17 Pro was the first 3nm chip in any phone, with a six core GPU capable of hardware ray tracing, paired with 8GB of RAM and storage from 128GB up to 1TB.

Cameras

A 48MP main camera with sensor-shift stabilisation, a 12MP telephoto at 3x optical zoom and a 12MP ultrawide covering 120 degrees. ProRes video and Dolby Vision HDR record at up to 4K 60fps, and the Action Button replaced the mute switch on this generation.
