Overview

The Apple iPad 10th Gen was the redesign: a 10.9 inch edge to edge screen, USB-C charging, 5G and a front camera that finally sits on the landscape edge.

Landscape front camera

Apple moved the 12MP camera to the long edge on this generation, so on a refurbished iPad 10th Gen you look straight at the lens during a video call when the tablet is on a stand or keyboard, rather than off to one side.

USB-C and 5G

Lightning was replaced with USB-C, so it charges from the same cable as a MacBook or a modern iPhone. This Cellular model adds 5G alongside 4G LTE, with nano SIM and eSIM support.

Display and camera

The 10.9 inch Liquid Retina display resolves 1640 x 2360 at 264 ppi in a slimmer 7.0mm body. The rear camera steps up to 12MP at f/1.8 and records 4K video, a substantial jump from the 8MP 1080p camera of earlier iPads.

Everyday use

Apple’s A14 Bionic with 4GB of RAM, 64GB or 256GB storage, Touch ID moved to the top button, Wi-Fi 6 and Magic Keyboard Folio support, at 481g.
