The Apple Pencil 1st Gen turns a compatible iPad into a notebook and sketchpad, with pressure and tilt sensitivity and no perceptible lag.

How it writes

Pressure sensitivity varies line weight as you press harder, and tilt sensitivity lets you shade with the side of the tip the way you would with a real pencil. That is what separates a refurbished Apple Pencil from a generic stylus, which registers only position.

Compatibility

Works with iPad 6th to 10th generation, iPad Air 3rd generation, iPad Mini 5th generation and iPad Pro 1st and 2nd generation. On the iPad 10th generation it connects through a USB-C adapter rather than directly.
