The Apple iPhone 16 is the first standard iPhone with a Ceramic Shield back, Wi-Fi 7 and 25W MagSafe charging, in a 170g aluminium body.

Charging

MagSafe speed rose from 15W to 25W on this generation, which halves the time a wireless top up takes. Wired charging is 25W over USB-C, with Qi2 support at 15W for third party pads. A refurbished iPhone 16 charges meaningfully faster than any iPhone before it.

Camera

The 48MP Fusion main camera at f/1.6 with sensor-shift stabilisation pairs with a 12MP ultrawide that gained autofocus, enabling macro photography on a standard iPhone for the first time. Video records at up to 4K 60fps in Dolby Vision HDR.

Performance

Apple’s 3nm A18 chip with a five core GPU and 8GB of RAM, the memory required for Apple Intelligence, with storage from 128GB to 512GB.
