Overview

The Google Pixel 9 is the compact flagship of the range, putting a 6.3 inch screen, 12GB of RAM and Google’s Tensor G4 chip into a 198g body with a flat aluminium frame.

Camera

A 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilisation is paired with a 48MP ultrawide covering 123 degrees, an unusually high resolution for a second lens. A refurbished Pixel 9 handles Google’s full set of AI photo tools, including Add Me, Magic Editor and Best Take. Video records at 4K 60fps.

Display and performance

The 6.3 inch Actua OLED runs at 120Hz and peaks at 2700 nits, resolving 1080 x 2424 at 422 ppi behind Gorilla Glass Victus 2. With 12GB of RAM the Pixel 9 runs Google’s AI features on the device rather than sending them to the cloud, in 128GB or 256GB storage.

Battery and connectivity

The 4700mAh battery charges at 45W wired or wirelessly on a Qi pad. IP68 water resistance, Wi-Fi 7, an under-display fingerprint reader and seven years of guaranteed updates from Android 14 complete it.
